The Dixon 1254H Series is a precision plug designed to cap hydraulic connections that terminate in a Female JIC thread. It is a fundamental component in machinery maintenance and transport, as it prevents the entry of contaminants (dirt, water) into the system and prevents the spillage of residual oil from disconnected hoses. This model features a conical tip at 37 degrees. This allows the plug to create a perfect Metal-to-Metal seal against the female connection seat, ensuring tightness even under extreme vibrations or high pressure.
Key Features:
-
JIC Mechanical Seal: The conical tip ensures that sealing occurs at the seat and not on the threads, eliminating the need for Teflon tape or chemical sealants.
-
Hex Head (H): The design incorporates a robust external hexagon for easy tightening and loosening with standard wrenches.
-
Zinc Plated Finish: The carbon steel is zinc treated to protect the part against corrosion and rust in industrial environments.
-
High Pressure: Capable of withstanding operating pressures of up to 5,000 PSI in sizes from 1/4" to 9/16", ideal for heavy machinery.
