The Danfoss Aeroquip GH781 series represents a premium line of very high-pressure hydraulic hoses, specifically designed for severe service applications where exceptional impulse resistance and superior durability are required. This family is known for its robust spiral-reinforced construction, making it ideal for the most demanding hydraulic systems in heavy machinery, mining, and construction.

  • High-Pressure Performance: Designed to handle extremely high working pressures, often exceeding standard braided hoses.

  • Superior Impulse Life: The spiral construction offers exceptional resistance to fatigue from repeated pressure cycles (water hammer), significantly extending hose life in dynamic applications.

  • Abrasion Resistance (DURA-TUFF™ Cover): Generally, this line incorporates Aeroquip's patented DURA-TUFF™ cover, made of a special synthetic rubber that offers many times greater abrasion resistance than standard rubber covers, protecting the hose in harsh environments.

  • Fluid Compatibility: Suitable for a wide range of petroleum- and water-based hydraulic fluids, as well as general lubricating oils.

Technical Construction:

  1. Inner Tube (Core):

    • Material: Synthetic rubber (typically Nitrile - NBR).

    • Properties: Oil-resistant, designed for smooth and continuous flow.

  2. Reinforcement:

    • Type: High-tensile steel wire spirals.

    • Configuration: Generally consists of four spiral layers (4SP/4SH) in most diameters. (Note: Some very large diameters in similar families may use six spirals, but the GH781 is predominantly 4-spiral for its main sizes). This spiral structure is key to its pressure capacity and impulse resistance.

  3. Outer Cover:

    • Material: High-performance synthetic rubber (DURA-TUFF™ technology or equivalent).

    • Properties: Highly resistant to abrasion, ozone, weathering, and aging.
