The FC254 is an ultra-high pressure hydraulic hose. Its design is focused on exceeding EN 856 4SP standards, which means it offers superior pressure capacity and impulse resistance (water hammer) compared to conventional hydraulic hoses. It is known for its DURA-TUFF™ cover, which provides a much longer service life in abrasive environments.

Construction and Materials

• Inner Tube: Synthetic rubber (Nitrile/NBR). Offers excellent compatibility with petroleum- and water-based hydraulic fluids, and glycols.
• Reinforcement: 4 spirals of high-tensile steel wire. Unlike braided hoses, spirals eliminate movement between wires under pressure, allowing them to withstand much higher pressures and impulse fatigue.
• Outer Cover: DURA-TUFF™ synthetic rubber. This is a proprietary Danfoss formulation that offers significantly superior abrasion resistance to standard covers, as well as being ozone resistant and MSHA approved (flame resistance for mining).
